Q If you have a profile on a social network, describe how you “present” yourself to the virtual world.
• Is it different than the “reality” of your life?

Humans are in the truest sense of social beings and for this reason, everything that humans do is determined by the social scene around. Goffman believed that every self acts according to the expected roles he or she is supposed to play and this self also believes that he or she will be looked at from the perspective that he or she supposedly believes that he or she is playing. This self that Goffman urges to think about is a performer who performs in the light of others and is almost simultaneously in the “benefit of other people”.
